Easily replace a color in your photo -- 2

We ever talked about using Musemage Selective Color tool to change a single color. In this tutorial, we also repeat this topic, but the way is different with awesome effect.

This is the picture we used in the tutorial Easily Replace a Color in Your Photo—1. Today, I wanna replace the color of the beach parasol from blue to cyan and leave the yellow part untouched. Now, let’s get started.

Step 1: Open the picture you want to change.

Step 2: Select the Magic Select Tool on the “Select” menu of menu bar. We’ll make a selection of what we want to change, that means, the blue color in the beach parasol.

Click Add, which is showed by red arrow in the picture, to constantly select more range. Wheel to enlarge, at the same time, you can change the Threshold to certain color range.

Repeat this action until the whole range you want to change is chose.

Step 3: Select the “Monochrome” command on the “Adjust” menu of menu bar.

Then, the cyan comes out. You also can drag the slide of Hue, Saturation and Lightness Gain to set parameters.

If we change Hue to 278, a purple range will come out.

Come to cyan range again, and click OK. Now, we are done.
