How to Make Colorful Hair in Musemage

Here, I’d like to show you how to make colorful hair and add some shine to hair with musemage.

Firstly, find a picture of woman with long hair, and open up. Then, select the Sharpen Brush Tool to add a bit of sharpness in some places.


Now, move to the next step. Create a transplant layer and choose Polygonal Lasso Tool to form a selection of hair.


Select Bucket Tool to fill a color.


The following shows the effect. After that, create more selections and fill other colors.


Press Ctrl + D to deselect these selections and apply “Filters>Blur>Gaussian Blur”.


Here, I will do the following sets for an example. Actually, it is better to rise up the Radius.


Now, change Blending to Overlay.




After that duplicate current layer with Ctrl + J and reduce opacity to 20%.


Ok, we are done with this tutorial. Looks nice and colorful, isn’t it? But it is better with higher Gaussian Blur.
