Create a Tanned Look to the Skin

If you are interested in tanned skin, this tutorial is just for you.


Open a picture, Select Polygonal Lasso Tool and start with skin selection. Pay attention to some part we just selected. Click Add button for Continuous selection.


After selected the skin of this girl, press Ctrl + C and Ctrl + V to duplicate the selected part of image. Now, it’s time to change color to tan. For this effect, apply “Adjust > Levels”, and set the parameter as below:

Then, we have this effect.



It is better to lower the brightness and contrast in this picture, so apply “Adjust > Brightness Contrast”.



Now, we have the final result. Is it different from the original one? The effects of Levels can be adjusted, so you can get other unusual skin color. Hope you like this tutorial.
