The eyes can be a window to the soul. So, the beauty of people mostly relay on their eyes. While the eyes always need to be modified after shoot, because of the brightness of light or other reasons. In this tutorial, I’ll share with you one way to make bright eyes for a character in an image.

The following is the effects.


We’ll modify this one. It is one part of the person, which can be displayed clearly.


Step 1: Select lasso tool to make a selection of the eye as below.


Step 2: Copy it and change its blending to Screen. The effect is not so natural, so we need to adjust it with HSL.


Set the parameters as the following.


Step 3: Choose layer 0, and make a selection of the eyeball and copy it.


Step 4: make the blending to Color. And then, select “Filters > Sharpen > USM Sharpen”.


Then, the final effect comes out.


If the effect is not your ideal, you can choose “Adjust > Curves” to increase the contrast.
