Change Your Photo into Black and White Cartoon Effect

Black and white cartoon is a cool effect. In this tutorial, I’ll tell you how to make it with only a few steps. Hope you like it.

First of all, copy the photo we use and choose “Filters > Special Color > Black and White”.

Then, go to “Adjust > Curves” and do the changes as below.

Next, adjust the picture’s brightness and contrast with “Adjust > Brightness Contrast”.

Now, comes to the important step. Add a new transparent layer and then choose Color Range.

Click the eye color to indentify the whole color range. The white part in the Color Range shows the range we’ll choose.

After click OK, select Bucket Tool to fill the selected part with black.

Press Ctrl+D. Then, add a new transparent layer again and move it down to layer 2. Make sure only layer 2 and layer 3 are visible.

Select Bucket Tool to fill layer 3 with white. Now, we have the final result. Note, different color range will have different result.
