Make an old style photo with crack is quite fun. It is important to find old background material. The following is what I find. If you’re interested in this, you can use it to follow my tutorial.


First of all, open two pictures and make sure the image matches the background.


Then, choose “Adjust > HSL” to adjust the whole Hue.


Set the parameters as below.


Then, change its Blending Mode to Soft light, then copy it.


Make some changes of the copied layer’s HSL as the following.


Again copy IMG-5071, and increase the Saturation.


In order to make some style of old, we’ll add some noise on this photo. Here, we’ll create a new transparent layer to the upper layer, and fill it with Black color by using Bucket Tool. To add noise, we’ll select “Filters > Noise > Add Noise”.


Set the parameters as below.


After done, change the black layer’s blending mode to Multiply, and choose “Adjust > Invert”.


Then, we’ll clear away the noise of the border by using Rectangular Selection and Inverse.


After click “delete”, use Erase tool to erase the noise on the character’s skin. Now, we have the final effect. Hope you can enjoy it.
