In this tut, I’d like to introduce a way to change character’s cloth in a picture at your pleasure. And the way is pretty simple, now, let’s get started!

First of all, open a picture with character in it, and choose Polygonal Lasso to make a selection of the cloth you want to change. After done, open another material you may change as a new layer.


 Select Free Transform Tool to make the material over the selection.


After double click, choose “Select > Inverse”.


Then, press Delete and alter blending mode Color Burn. Note：Press Ctrl + D to deselect the selection.


Next, we’ll do the same actions with the other part of the cloth. Select Polygonal Lasso to make a selection, and open another material over it.


Choose “Select > Inverse”.


After press Delete and Ctrl + D, change its blending mode to Overlay. Here, comes the effect.


The last step we’ll do is to use Eraser Tool to erase the parts on the character’s hair.


Now, the final image comes out. Note: you can use Curves to bright the picture.
